typography garden

I wanted to create a personal bouquet for mom that was easy for my very black thumb. The hard thing about bouquets is they are very temporary and quite hard to personalize. Instead, I purchased a grouping of potted flowers and created this simple tribute to mom.

To make the typography garden, start with a large planter and a grouping of purchased potted plants. Fill the planter about 1/3 of the way with good soil and carefully transfer the planted flowers out of the store pots and into the planter. Begin to press in, clip where needed and carefully arrange the flowers into your letters. Fill in soil as you go and be sure to water once everything is placed to pack the words fully in.

Here are a few more easy floral ideas for Mother’s Day.
